Things to do with food safety

Since young children are vulnerable to bacteria, it is very important to store, prepare and cook food safely. Also in keeping the kitchen and utensils clean at all times.

These are just basic things you should do:
• Wash your hands before preparing food and after touching raw meat.
• Wash all fruits and vegetables before eating
• When re-heating food, make sure that it is piping hot all the way through. Always remember to allow the food to cool slightly before giving to your child to avoid burning.
• Teach your child to wash his or her hands before eating, also after touching pets and after going to the toilet.
