How to prepare a toddlers milk

It is very important that you should maintain cleanliness in preparing your child’s milk to prevent him or her from getting ill. So here are some good and easy instructions of how to prepare a toddlers milk.

• Always wash hands and sterilise all utensils according to manufacturer’s instruction.

• Boil freshly run water and leave the kettle to cool for 30 minutes. Do not use artificial softened or repeatedly boiled water.
• Measure the required amount of water, always refer to feeding guide and put it into a sterilised beaker. Do not add powder to boiling water due to risk of scalding.

• Using the scoop provided, always make sure to level the powder without pressing it or heaping it.

• Add the correct number of scoops to the water, do not put too many or too little as this could be harmful to your child.

• Mix well and replace the lid of the beaker.

• Cool it under a running tap and check the temperature of the feed before giving it to your child.

• Always discard unfinished feeds after 2 hours for hygiene reasons.


Be aware that powdered milks are not sterile so failure to do such instructions may make your toddler ill.

Working out in your home is an ideal way to start the day, which is why more and more people are now into home workout program where they can choose their own time, like just before going to work or before leaving on a day out for fun with the family. To make bedtime easier for toddlers

Sleep problems may be avoided if you can establish a simple and soothing bedtime routine early. This can include bath, changing into night clothes, feeding, cuddling, and then putting to bed.

The best thing to do is try to put your baby down awake rather than getting him or her to sleep by rocking or cuddling him or her in your arms, otherwise your baby may not learn to fall asleep in the cot and may need nursing back to sleep if he or she wakes up again.

As your child gets older, keeping to a similar bedtime routine is also important. This should include a winding down period and the avoidance of excitement and over stimulation before bedtime.

I have here an example of routine that you may try to do for your child:

• Bath time and put in night clothes.
• A milky drink or supper.
• Brushing of teeth.
• A bedtime story.
• Making sure your child’s comforter, such as a dummy, cuddly toy, or security blanket is nearby.
• A good night kiss and a cuddle.
• Leaving dim lights on if necessary.

It is now about 3 weeks to Halloween, and I think now it is the perfect time to start thinking about Halloween costumes and tricks or treats for kids. Like most parents, I also encourage my little one to have all the fun during Halloweens, got her a good witch costume last year and the year before that a pumpkin costume.
