Carving a pumpkin for Halloween

It is almost Halloween and if you are planning to make a pumpkin face, here is simple instruction of how to make one. You can make this with your child/children but do make sure that they are supervised when handling knives.

You will need:
A pen
And a little bit of imagination

To prepare:

1. Decide on the design of your pumpkin face, then choose a size and shape of your pumpkin.

2. Draw the face on with a marker pen, then cut off the top with a knife to make a lid. Scoop out the seeds with the spoon and remove flesh with a knife.

3. Use a very sharp knife to cut along the marker pen lines. Steady the pumpkin with your other hand.

4. Add the finishing touches. Example: you could drape pumpkin fibers and seeds over the head to look like freakish hair. Have fun!

How many school uniforms does a girl need for year 1/reception?

Here are some tips of what and how many school uniforms you can get for a start.

For a Girl:

  • ·         Cardigans - 3
  • ·         Coats and Jackets -  1 coat (from school with a school logo)
  • ·         Pinafore(s)-  1
  • ·         Gingham Dresses- 0  (won’t need this until the weather is warmer)
  • ·         Polo Shirts- 5
  • ·         Shoes- 1 black school shoes and wellies (which are sometimes required in school)
  • ·         Skirts-  2
  • ·         Sportswear – 1 black shorts, 1 white t-shirt (they usually came in a pack of 2 from supermarkets, so your daughter will have spares), and 1 black Plimsolls
  • ·         Sweatshirts- 1
  • ·         Tights and Socks – 6 pairs of tights and socks.

In my opinion it would also depend on how many times you do clothes washing in a week. I think the above lists would be ideal if you usually do the washing every 2-3 days. You can also add on or buy additional's as the months goes by.

Girls Pink Hello Kitty Tutu Costume Review

My little Chloe personally choose this Hello Kitty tutu as her Halloween costume and I think she had made a brilliant choice! It arrived the other day and to give you an idea of what the costume is like, it is really cute! Pink in color, which I think came out last year, but for Halloween this year you can also get this in blue or red.

The costume is a dress made out of soft polyester clothing; consist of a top and a tutu skirt all in one. The top part is a stretchy material that has a Hello Kitty face print with a red cushion bow on the head. I would say that the top is more like a spandex type of clothing which is very similar to a swimsuit, so it would stretch and fit perfectly onto the body when worn. The tutu skirt is a lovely! Consist of 3 layers, first is a glittery mesh on the top, dark pink on second and the third one is a white satin lining underneath. This also comes with a shiny belt that has a Velcro strap on the back and a Hello Kitty earpiece with a glorious red bow to complete the Hello Kitty look!

As far as sizing is concerned, the small size which is 4-6 fits perfectly on my 4 almost 5 year old, but she is very petite and this small size is just about right! So if you are somehow concern about the sizing, I suggest that you go for the up size, meaning the next size so you would not have to struggle in putting this dress on your little girl. There is no zip or Velcro at the back, so the dress will have to be put on over the head just like wearing a t-shirt. No worries about health or safety issues somehow with this costume as I think it is perfectly safe, because there are no metals attached on it and the fabric is stretchy enough that would allow your child to breath-in properly. Now having said these safety things, you might as well check out the Halloween 2012 safety tips for your complete guide. Have Fun!

Tips on how to teach a child to write

Most children at the age of 3 will start to show some interest writing, you might as well noticed that your child will try to hold a pen or pencil and start writing wiggles on anything they can get hold of. Anyway, encourage your child to write but always be there to supervise him/her as children could get a little excited over new things and might also write on the furniture’s and walls! My little Chloe did this when she was 3 and I ended repainting the wall and scrubbing the carpet after the mess she made. Now that she is 4 years and 7 months old, she can already hold the pen properly and write the alphabet on a paper and I am very proud that I did taught her myself! So here some of my tips on helping a child to learn to write:

• Give your child a pencil and not a pen
• Show your child how to hold a pencil correctly
• Show your child how to form the letters in the right way
• Do not teach your child to write in all capital letter, as l this would confuse him/her when she goes to school.
• Peoples’ names and place names begins with a capital letter. So when teaching your child to write his/her name, start with a capital letter on the name and surname and use small letters on the rest.
• Start a sentence with a capital letter and end with a period, question mark or exclamation mark.
• Get your child a writing book and try to work through the activities in order
• Help your child through the activities and give lots of praise
• Use a reward system, reward your child after the activity
• Lastly, take time to talk about the activities together and make the sessions short and enjoyable.

Here is a picture of my little Chloe learning to write the alphabet by tracing them on the activity book.

Additional Travel Checklist For Holiday in Spain

Aside from your travel check-list knowing what the weather would be is also essential especially when you are traveling with children. Why? It is for a very simple reason, you do not want to bring the wrong clothes with you on a holiday! Spain however is lovely, but depending on the time of year and the area where you are going, Spain can be very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. So as a parent, I would advise anyone traveling with children to check out the weather ahead of time before the going on a holiday, so you can bring clothes that are appropriate for the weather.

Now there are a few websites where you can check out Spain’s weather, but this spanish weather forecast is the most accurate one I have found, probably because it made especially for Spain’s weather! And the best thing about this is that you can check out the weather up to 14 days ahead of time, plus some very useful information about the area!

Now you got your weather appropriate clothing and Spain’s weather forecast, I would also like to share with you some of the things you might consider adding on your travel checklist. These are very handy if you are traveling with a child or a baby.

• A travel sickness medicine
• Your child’s blanket or favorite toy
• Sun screen lotion for kids- if the weather is hot.
• Insect repellents lotion or cream, or spray
• And children’s comics

When traveling with a baby, you will also need these things:
• Nappies
• Soothers
• Milk
• Bottles of milk
• Nappy cream
• Baby food

Good luck!

Preparing your child for school

My little Chloe will start primary school in September and as per advised on a new parents meeting, parents should help their children develop their independence. By doing so, it can help the child settles easily in school. Independence in such ways that they can:

• Wash their hands and faces
• Go to the toilet by themselves
• Eat properly
• Get dressed by themselves
• Put on their socks and shoes
• Use a handkerchief
• Tidy their toys and belongings
• Play and share toys with other children
• And say their name and address correctly

My little Chloe can do most of these things but to be honest, still struggle to change her clothes!

Family lifestyle changes to fight diabetes

I got this list off on a leaflet after taking a free diabetes test, luckily my blood sugar is ok, but was advice that following these lifestyle change in prevention or to help fight against diabetes.

1. Make sure you have three regular meals a day to help control blood glucose levels.
2. Eat carbohydrates with a low Glycaemic Index (GI), such as porridge, oats, beans, lentils and pasta (made from durum wheat).
3. Flavour foods with herbs and spices to help reduce your daily salt intake to less than 6g.
4. Choose diet or a no added sugar drink and squashes to help limit your intake of sugar.
5. Get your children to make their own healthy eating cookbooks for the family. You can usually get some of this stuff from the government’s health website or some organization campaign to fight diabetes.
6. When it is a lovely day, instead of meeting friends for a coffee, why not suggest going for a walk?
7. Get off two bus stops earlier and walk the rest of the way.
8. Join in with the kids’ activity. Kicking a ball around the park or just running around would also help.
9. Dance with the kids’ TV ads or while they are playing with the Wii.
10. Walk to the local shops and carry your shopping bag back instead of taking the car.

Now it might also help to know the symptoms or the signs of diabetes, so I am posting it as well with this blog post. I was told that once you or anybody you know has any of these symptoms below, call a doctor!

• Extreme thirst
• Passing urine more often than usual, especially at night
• Tiredness and fatigue
• Unexplained weight loss
• Genital itching or regular episodes of thrush
• Slow healing of cuts and wounds

Look Natural with #EclosBeauty Anti-Aging Product

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of éclos Skin Care. All opinions are 100% mine.

There are loads of anti-aging skin cares on the market, but as a 34 year old mom on a budget, I would personally want to try this éclos Skin Care product. Why? Well aside from the fact that this eclos is affordable, it is also made naturally from plant stem cells of a rare Swiss apple and enrich with phytoplex24 which is a combination of all-natural plant-based ingredients. Now I am not an expert or a dermatologist but I did a little research about this and found out that with those ingredients combine it can reverse the sign of aging. Mainly because the apple stem cells has been found to have the ability to stimulate skin stem cells and the phytoplex24 is a known ingredient to moisturize, soothes and protect the skin from radical damage.
Eclos has got 6 amazing beauty products which can be purchased separately, but can also get it as a kit which contains all 6 together, plus a terry head band cloth which comes as a bonus! The kit contains one of each of the following:
• Facial Cleanser Skin Prep – A facial cleanser ideal for getting rid of dust and dirt as well as cosmetics on the face. It clears the pores and improves the overall texture and tone of the skin. It also activates cell renewal.
• Cellular Activator Face Serum- A liquid that contains PhytoPlex24 which helps regenerate skin cells, rehabilitates aging skin, and resist further damage.
• Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream- This product contains a high potency plant stem cells that can brightens dull skin, awaken cell renewal and reduces line and wrinkles.
• Restorative Eye Cream – This eye cream reduces fine line and dark circle on the eye area. It also firms the delicate skin, and slows down the sign of aging.
• Instant Radiance Facial Scrub - With microdermabrasion property which improves skin tone. This scrub helps remove dry and dull skin cells, activates cell renewal, as well as improving the texture and tones of the skin.
• Skin Renewal Clay Mask – This helps in detoxifying skin. Results are usually felt after application, it absorbs dirt and impurities, tightens and reduces pores and restores youthful texture.
• éclos Terry Cloth Head Band – a bonus soft headband for keeping your hair all neat and tidy while applying the beauty treatment.
I have a sensitive skin and since eclos have got no synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petro-chemicals, perabens and sulphates, this looks very promising for me. Would definitely try this out!

Asthma and what to do during asthma attack

Asthma as health professionals say is genetic, but it does not mean that once your family has this on the genes you and your children’s will have this too! In fact from my side of the family, most have asthma, but for some reason I do not have it and so is my little girl. My sister was unlucky to have got it and so is her youngest daughter who constantly sees a doctor. Now I am not a health professional, but having seen this many times on my side of the family I have here some good advice as of what to do if asthma attacks.

The symptom of asthma includes coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath and tightness in the chest. So these are the warnings sign that you must look for if you have a feeling that you or someone you know has an asthma attack and must not be taken for granted!

What to do during asthma attack?
Take 1 or 2 puffs of your reliever inhaler, then sit down and try to take it slow, steady breaths. Now if you do not start to feel better, take 2 puffs every two minutes. If after 10 minutes your condition has not improved, call a doctor, but continue to take 2 puffs every two minutes. Your doctor should be able to advise you of your next steps, but surely you will be advised to go to an emergency hospital if your condition has not improved.

Gardening naturally with Whitney Farms plant foods and soils

This post brought to you by Whitney Farms. All opinions are 100% mine.

Gardening is my new hobby and for me is a family fun activity which toddlers can participate too! Yes my little Chloe who is now 4 years old loves to help me around the garden, which is why as early as possible I want to teach her the proper way of growing fruits and vegetables. Since I am not an expert gardener I get a lot of tips from my sister who has a farm about seeding and caring for plants.

Anyway, she recommends that I would only use organic plant food to grow my fruits and vegetables mainly because I am growing those fruits and vegetables for personal consumption. The organic plant food that she has recommended is called Whitney Farms. I was told that this plant food is specially designed protein-based blends which provide plants with both macro and micronutrients. The formula also contains beneficial microbes, is low to no dust, easy to apply and best of all no manure odor! Perfect if you got children or even toddlers that want to get involved in gardening activities.

By the way, you can get a $3 off coupon for Whitney Farms plant food and organic soil; all you have to do is clink on this Whitney Farms® link and sign up to get an instant coupon download! I have just got my coupon and I think it is a great way to start. Enjoy the coupon and have a lovely day!

I have here a photo of my small organic garden, the green grown thing you can see on the photo are tomatoes and next to that I have sown seeds of lettuce, peas and beans. Like I said, I am new to gardening but I have a positive feeling that my plants would grow without any problems!

Plus Size Black Slip Dress Review

First I would like to say that I am really pleased with this item, so I am making a review about it here on my blog! I got this plus size black slip dress recently from Plus Size Lingerie Boutique which I planned to be worn under a shape dress next month for s friend’s wedding. To be honest, I was not expecting a lot for it as it was not expensive, but when I tried it on today I was instantly pleased with this intimate apparel!

The slip dress is lightweight and comfortable to wear; it has an elastic clothing material made of Lycra and has that smooth satin feeling when it touches the body. It has an under-wire fiber fill cups which I found brilliant as it gives my bust a fantastic shape and lift! It also comes with a detachable strap, very handy as you can wear it with or without; depending on what type of dress style you want to put on it. This is so versatile and I reckon this dress can be worn solely with a bolero on a night out, if you are confident enough! But for me I would stick on having it as a slip dress due to my postnatal figure.

Please do not get confused as this is not a full control shape wear, although I did noticed that it does hide the lumps and bumps on my body and it somehow flattens my tummy and slenderized my hips and tight. Overall, I really think it gives a flattering fit without the feeling of tightness of a shaping garment, so I would recommend this product to anyone!

Superhero Deluxe Batgirl Costume Review

Dressing up for kids is fun and a part of playtime too, especially during Halloween! In fact I have found out from a mom's group that most children would start to love dressing-up or wearing costumes from an early age of 18 months. Well, my daughter Chloe is not an exception, she loves dressing-up costumes ever-since she was 2 years old and I enjoyed the fun memories of dressing her up ready for Halloween trick-or-treating.

Now I know it is still 6 months to go before Halloween, but I have already got the perfect Halloween costume for my 4 year old and it is the Deluxe Batgirl Costume I got from! To start with the review, I got her a size small Deluxe Batgirl Costume, girls’ size small on this would actually fit a girl from 4 to 6 years of age. The costume cleverly made, it is shiny looking black vinyl dress with a yellow bat symbol on the chest and a belt you can tie around the waist to adjust on a child’s body type. It comes with a long cape that can be attached on a Velcro with the same clothing material as the black dress. It also includes extras like cuff’s, boot covers and a bat mask. The cuff’s and the boot covers are both pull on type, but the boot covers has an extra Velcro strap at the bottom to fasten and hold on under the child’s shoe or boots. Lastly, the mask which is made of plastic polyethylene, a little thin and might need an extra care when wearing it, but overall a fabulous costume!

Tell you, I have seen some other Batgirl costumes from some shops selling girls costumes for every occasion, but so far this Batgirl costume I got is far more authentic looking! I would honestly say that this product is well worth every penny and you will get exactly as it is in the picture.

What to do in case of difficulties at the beach

Since the weather is getting warmer, most families would tend to go to the beach to have a dip or just relax along the seaside. Relaxing and having fun is important, but as a parent I think we should not forget to think about safety when out and about having fun on the beach or at the seaside, especially if you got children with you. I have recently written a blog post about safety on beach which you can see on my blog archive or if you scroll down prior to this post and I have though I miss the some important things, and that is, what to do in case of difficulties at the beach.

If you get into difficulties:

• Remain calm and do not exhaust yourself
• Float on your back
• Attract attention by waiving one arm and shouting for help
• Swim diagonally across, or float and go with the current

If someone else gets into difficulties:

• Contact a lifeguard (if available)
• Dial the emergency number (911) and ask for a coastguard, then stay by the telephone
• Use rescue equipment, but enter the water only if you are a strong swimmer.

Beware of the unexpected:

• The sea bottom is not flat- the waves may sweep the sand from under your feet.
• You can’t see the currents that carry you away
• The sea is usually cold, even on a warm day so remember the cold can kill
• Do not snorkel in rough seas or if you have breathing problems
• Beware of being trapped by incoming tide

Safety tips while on the beach

Here are some safety advices for you and your family when you are out on the beach.

• Obey the lifeguard advice

When you are in the sea:

• Always swim in the company of others
• Do not swim when you feel unwell
• Do not swim for at least one hour after meals
• Do not swim for at least one hour after consuming alcohol
• Do not swim when you are cold or tired
• When with children- Always keep your eye on them, as they can drown on shallow water.
• Be aware that inflatable’s are dangerous as these can be very quickly swept out to sea.

French Translation Agency

I wanted to cut straight to the point that Rosetta is my recommended translation agency. This company provides a reasonable price of document translations to costumers all over the world! In fact they got 5 global offices located in London, Shanghai, Paris, New York and Luxembourg. But if you are not in these areas, you can easily reach them through the internet! Rosetta Translation Agency can translate many languages including French Translations and they are renowned for their quick, high quality and reasonable pricing.

To be honest, I have not been a costumer of Rosetta Translation Agency but my husband works from one of UK’s charity organization and they always use Rosetta for document translations whenever they needed one and they have not got any problems with them. He added that based on experience, all instructions where carefully followed and you can have your documents certified, legalized or notarized if required!

Oh, before I forgot, the company specialise in business and commercial document translations, and they do offer very competitive rates compare to other translation services so get in touch with them! Based on what I know, you can reach them through email or by phone if you got any inquiries. You can find their contact information at their website or simple click the link provided above. All the best!

Children's Safety on Swimming Pool

I know that most of these are simple common sense but I do see some parents with children not following the safety procedure of swimming on a swimming pool. Well, every swimming pool has its own regulations, but most of them got these basic rules.

• Children under 8 and non-swimmers under 14 must be supervised by an adult.

• Avoid wearing jewelry

• Shower before going to the pool and encourage children to use the toilet before swimming.

• Always check the depth markings

• Wear a swim hat or tie your hair if it is long

• do not let your child run around the poolside

• Do not let your child swim if he or she has got a fever, got an injury, or have taken a medication. It is always best to consult a doctor first.

• Even children with armbands should be supervised by an adult.

Remember; always follow the swimming pool regulations as these are issued for you and your Child's safety.

Want to educate my child at home

My little Chloe will turn 5 by the end of the year, so by England law she is required to attend school by September. Now, my husband and I had been thinking about educating her at home as location wise where we are is not a good area and since we cannot move for now, we think this is the best option.

I have not personally met or talk to parents who are doing the same thing to their child/children, so honestly I hope that this is a good decision. I am not a teacher and have not had any experience in teaching but I read on the government website that you do not need to be a qualified teacher to educate your child at home. I would welcome and appreciate any comments, or experience shared from parents who are doing or have done this home education to their child/children.

Making Baked Crumble Nectarines

I got this from the children’s program called I can Cook of Cbeebies, tried it and my little Chloe loves it! I am sharing this to everyone else as well as I think this is a healthy food recipe and surely any children would love.
These Baked Crumble Nectarines make a delicious, fruity pudding. Recipe devised by Kate Morris and Sally Brown.

You will need:
40g/ 2 tbsp plain flour
20g butter
10g/1 dsp demerara sugar
20g/1 heaped tbsp oats
1 fresh, ripe nectarine
2 tbsp orange juice

This should take about
30 minutes

Step 1
Before cooking, wash your hands and put an apron on.
Weigh and measure the ingredients.

Step 2
Put the flour and butter in a bowl and ‘tickle’ the ingredients together by rubbing them between your fingers until crumbly.

Step 3
Stir in the demerara sugar – this will give the topping some crunch. Now add the oats.

Step 4
Split the nectarine into 2 halves by taking a table knife for a walk around the fruit, (make sure you ask a grown up to help you!) Start at the top where the stalk was and cut all the way around down to the bottom and back up, making sure the blade touches the stone inside as you go round.

Step 5
Twist the two halves of the nectarine in opposite directions and they should come apart. Pull the stone out of the centre and lay the halves with flat sides up in an oven proof dish.

Step 6
Put the oven proof dish onto a baking tray and measure the orange juice into the bottom.

Step 7
Sprinkle your crumble topping over the cut surface of the nectarines. You will need to ask a grown up to help with this part. Place in a pre-heated oven at 200°C fan/220ºC/Gas 7 for 12-15 minutes until golden on the top.

Step 8
Serve with natural yoghurt.

Children’s Bedtime Routine

Keeping a bedtime routine is important as this was said to avoid future sleep problems in children. I have here an example of a routine I use for my little girl, she had this routine since she was tiny and it does work alright for her, except on some occasions where in she is excited, like when away for a holiday or when there is a celebration.

An example of a routine could be:

• Bath time and putting in night clothes

 • A milky drink and supper are also important

 • Brushing teeth • A bedtime story

 • Making sure that my little girl’s cuddly toy is nearby. If your child has a special blanket, make sure that would be besides him/her too.

 • A good night kiss and cuddle

 • Leaving a dim light on if necessary.

What to do if your child has a cut

If your child has a cut, do not panic! I have here a guide that might help you sort out the bleeding. I got this from an emergency first aid book which I did actually follow once when my little girl had a cut, and eventually sorted out the bleeding. Here is what to do:

• If there is a lot of bleeding, press firmly on the wound, using a pad of clean cloth. If you don’t have a clean cloth, use your fingers and keep pressing until the bleeding stops, this may take 10 minutes or more.

• Do not use a tourniquet or tie anything that it stops the circulation.

• If possible, raise the injured limb. This helps stops the bleeding but do not do this if you think the limb is broken.

• Cover the wound with a clean dressing if you can find one. If the blood soaks through the pad or dressing, do not remove it. Just place another pad or dressing on the top.

• Then call an ambulance or take your child to the hospital.

• Ask your doctor about tetanus injection if your child has not been immunized.

My toddler loves Chuggington

This is my little Chloe’s favourite cartoon show from Cbeebies. The show tells a story about how the train station runs and teamwork around them. The three main characters’ are the trainees named:
• Wilson- red engine
• Brewster- yellow with blue colour engine
• Koko- green with purple engine

Each day, they are able to perform task and at the end of the show, they usually find out that they can solve the problem easier by helping each other. I would say this is a great show for all toddlers! Love the fun characters, lessons learned from each daily task and the cheerful song that my little girl always sings along every time she hears it on the television.

Family Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

Illness can strike to anyone at any age without a warning and as much as my family and I do take good care of our health by eating healthy and keeping fit, there is not a guarantee that those things would keep us free from getting illnesses. I am not talking about getting insurance here although it would be great if we got one for the whole family, but there is another thing that would come handy when an unexpected illness comes along and is the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club. The good thing about having this prescription savings club is that, as a member you will be able to enjoy the following benefits;
Savings on more than 8,000 brand-names and all generic medications.
Discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies.
Bonuses when you purchase Walgreens brand products and photofinishing services.
Now here is another good thing, the annual membership fee for this Prescription savings club is $20 for individuals and $35 for families but right now Walgreens is offering a special discount and believe me, you will only pay $5 annual fee for individual membership and $10 for a family membership. Fruits and vegetables for young children

Fruit and vegetables contain lots of vitamins, minerals and fibre. They could even liven up your child's meal with their variety of colours, textures and favours that is why it is recommended by doctors and other health professionals, that parents should introduce lots of different types from an early age whether fresh, frozen, canned, or dried, it does not really matter! Just try to ensure that your child have fruit and vegetables regularly.

Different fruit and vegetables contains different vitamins and minerals, so the wider range your toddler eats the better. But do not worry if your child will only eat one or two types. He or she will learn to like them by having small taste frequently.

The Amazing Toddler Spiderman Costume

I really feel that I am obliged to make a review of this costume as so far this is the best designed toddler costume I have seen! For a start this would look cute for either a boy or a girl (planning to get my little Chloe one), but I got this for my little nephew Karl (Chloe’s cousin) as a surprise present when we go for a visit to see him and the whole family this spring.

Anyway here is my review:

The costume is made out of polyester clothing, but do not get me wrong, as it is of quite good quality and it does not look cheap! It's a jumpsuit which features realistic effect padded muscles in the chest and on the arms. The pads on the arms and chest by the way feels soft, light and squashy, and the jumpsuit itself is surprisingly quite strong clothing material! I would say this would definitely keep a toddler snug and warm on a mild or cold weather.

Was actually pleased on how well made the costume is, tell you, this is one of the best Spiderman costumes I have seen online, and what makes it different from the others is that this Spiderman costume has a larger spider print on the chest, the face mask got a larger eye wholes too with an elastic trim around the back of the head which would make it adjustable for any head sizes. Oh, another good thing I notice about this is that the mask does not cover the whole face, which means a toddler can breath in and out properly and avoid the danger of suffocation.

As far as sizing is concern, this is pretty much true to its size, got a T2 size and have asked the exact measurement of my nephew from his mom, and spot on! It is just perfect for an average size 2 years old toddler. I am overall very happy with this; its is not pricey and it looks great too! I think any child wearing this would get tons of compliments especially that The Amazing Spiderman movie is soon to be out on cinema. This is truly an amazing toddler costume and would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I have here a photos of the costume:

1st Dental Check and Caring for your child's teeth

Chloe just had her first dental check at the age of 4 and like any other child her, she was a little nervous of seeing the dentist for the first time. Although this is not the first time she has been to the dental clinic as I often take her with me during my annual dental routine check, I can still feel that she is a little bit concern and nervous about seeing the dentist. At first she insisted that she will not see the dentist and she got a lot of reasons for it, but when I told her that there is a sticker badge waiting for her and a surprise inside the dental room, she agreed to go along. The dentist and the dental nurse were very friendly, offered her a selection of sun glasses when she gets in the room and was chatting with me and her. I was actually surprised that Chloe responded well and after the dental check, she was given a sticker badge which makes her very proud!

Anyway, here is some advice from the dentist of how to care of a child’s teeth, well these are the only 3 important things I can remember:

• Keep down the number of times each day that your child eats or drinks something sugary.
• Acidic drinks such as fruit juices and squashes should only be given with meals and not on their own.
• Brush your child’s teeth thoroughly twice each day, using a small pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste.
• Let the child sees you are brushing your teeth, best to brush at the same time your child is brushing her or his teeth.
• Go on helping your child to brush until you are sure that he or she is old enough. They recon until the age of seven.

It is recommended that you should take your child to the dentist for an annual routine check, even if he or she does not have any tooth decay problem, as this would help maintain your child's teeth and gums healthy.
